Artist Statement:These cherries were harvested at the height of Summer in Australia. Super sweet with dark juicy flesh. They sat perfectly piled up high on this antique silver plate found in Paris at Les Puce de Saint-Ouen, a mecca for antiquities. It's origin is English, it probably spent time abroad in exotic places before landing in France for a time before flying down under. A well-travelled object adorned with cherries.
