Hartwig-Boutkan is an emerging figurative artist living and painting on Wadandi Boodja, saltwater people’s country, Margaret River. She is self-taught, having been shaped and guided by her Grandmother, Newcastle artist, Ronda Hartwig. 

Always taken with the harshness and humour that the Australian literal and cultural landscapes hold, Jessie’s work speaks to the stillness of the scenes of our bush poets, our drovers, our farmers and fishermen.
